The biggest motion picture from the #Pakistanifilmindustry, The Legend Of Maula Jatt is living up to its title with its legendary performance at the box office. Released on 13th October, the Fawad Khan and Mahir Khan starrer has grossed PKR 220 crores ($10 million) globally in its seven-week box office run. Of that, PKR 87.50 crores ($3.98 million) is from the home country and PKR 132.50 crores ($6 million) is from overseas markets.
Maula Jatt is the biggest grosser ever for Pakistani cinema in every single market whether it is Pakistan, America, Gulf or Europe and in most of them doubling or more the previous record. Previously, Jawani Phir Nhi Aani 2 was the biggest Pakistani film with PKR 73 crores worldwide, Maula Jatt has so far tripled that number, and continues to go higher. The Punjabi language actioner is also the biggest Punjabi film ever, beating the Indian counterpart Carry on Jatta 2 ($9 million) and Chaar Sahibzaade ($8.50 million).
Jatt is outperforming Bollywood titles in various overseas markets. In the UK, with £1.39 million the film is the biggest grosser from South Asia since Padmaavat in 2018, beating various high-profile releases like Sanju, PS 1, Race 3, Zero, KGF 2 and RRR and so on. In Norway, the film is the highest-grosser ever, beating Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

Directed by Anirudh Iyer, An Action Hero, stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Jaideep Ahlawat as lead roles. It has been released in theatres across the country today. Ayushmann was seen posing with a gun and seems rough and uneven in its recent poster. Nora Fatehi and Malaika Arora are in its two songs. Kaushal Shah has worked on its cinematography.
Plot
Ayushmann plays Maanav, who is an exuberant of a star, witnesses a low trend towards his professional career and gets into a dramatic scenario in Haryana. He tries to save his life from a revenge taking politician who goes to any degree or situation to fulfill his ego. The dreadful Maanav goes to London to showcase his innocence inh his own way.

Jaideep acts as antagonist, Bhoora Solanki, the Municipal Councillor Mandothi village in Haryana where he targets Maanav for his brother Vicky Solanki’s cryptic death.
Analysis
Ayushmann acts fine considering he went through an immense transformation for his role with abs and muscular body. Jaideep Ahlawat shines through with spectacular performance with it comes to Haryanvi dialect. The dialogue-delivery is superb like ‘Waqt badal gaya hain, ladna maine seekh liya hain’ and ‘Action hero ko gussa aata hai toh public ka paisa vasool hota hai’. The cinematography is quite edgy and has been packed with good comedy in this thriller.

Verdict
The adventure and drama between both the actors’ characters is like Tom and Jerry chase. The first half is fine but the second half delivers climax, making people wait to know more. The film will struggle to touch the 5 cr mark and will earn 2.25 cr on opening day as per our box-office movie reviews.
