Maharia joined the BJP in the presence of senior leaders at the party’s state headquarters.

Born on September 29, 1957, Subhash Maharia has a BA from SK College, Sikar. By profession, he is a farmer, social worker and industrialist. He was elected to the Lok Sabha in 1998, 1999 and 2004. Subhash Maharia lost to Congress’ Hari Singh in the 1996 elections, but in the next election, he defeated Hari Singh. After this, he was elected MP for three consecutive terms from here. After the defeat in the 2009 elections, the BJP did not make him a candidate in the 2014 elections, so he got angry and joined the Congress in 2016. In 2019, he contested against the BJP on a Congress ticket.

Carbon dating of alleged Shivalinga banned in Gyanvapi

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Tuesday stayed the order of a scientific survey and carbon dating of an alleged Shivalinga found in the Gyanvapi mosque in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. While staying the Allahabad High Court’s decision, the court said that there is a need to be careful in this matter. The High Court order will have to be examined closely.

In fact, the Muslim side had filed a petition in the Supreme Court against the High Court’s decision. The petition was filed by advocate Huzefa Ahmadi on behalf of the Gyanvapi Mosque Management Committee. A bench comprising Chief Justice DY Chandrachud, Justice P S Narasimha and Justice K V Vishwanathan heard the matter. The Hindu side has already filed a caveat in the Supreme Court.

On May 12, the Allahabad High Court had ordered a carbon dating and scientific survey of the alleged Shivling found at Wujukhana in Gyanvapi. On this, the High Court had said that how will this happen? The Varanasi court will decide on this. This work will be done under the supervision of the court.

Advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain, appearing for the Hindu side, said that if the court gives any order, then before that the report of the ASI survey should be called and considered once. On this, the court said that we will also look at the ASI report. The Chief Justice said that first we will see the situation. We have to deal with this matter very carefully.

The Supreme Court has said that the order of carbon dating by the Allahabad High Court will not be implemented till the next hearing.

The Supreme Court-appointed committee has also said that retail investment in the Adani Group has increased since the report of American shortseller Hindenburg came out, and the group had also tried to give relief to investors after the Hindenburg report came out. The committee claims that the shortsellers made profits after the Hindenburg report came out, and the SC committee has recommended an inquiry into it.

However, the Supreme Court committee has also said that all the findings of their investigation report are not final, because SEBI’s investigation in this matter is going on, and its report is yet to come.

Rajasthan: 10 injured in attack on marriage party

A video of a marriage party being beaten up in Rajasthan’s Dungarpur has surfaced. The incident took place on May 16 and the video went viral on Thursday. According to the information, when the bride and groom were taking a turn, the miscreants attacked the marriage procession. The attackers first threw stones at the marriage party and then beat them with sticks and punches. The sudden attack caused chaos. The miscreants also molested the woman who came to the rescue and looted jewellery. Ten baratis were injured in the attack. The incident took place in Dungarpur’s Khadaia Duchki village.

According to the police, the case has been registered by Dinesh Damor, a resident of Kali Ghati Katev in Kalyanpur police station area of Udaipur district. According to the report, on May 16, his son Jignesh’s marriage procession was held in Khadiya Duchki village. The procession had stopped at a house on the roadside in the village, where Barati was resting. On the other hand, groom Jignesh and bride Sumitra were on the run.

Meanwhile, at around 1 pm, some people of the same village (whose name has been written in the report) came with sticks and stones in their hands. All the people together started beating the brides with kicks and punches. Some baratis were injured in the attack. The injured were treated at the district hospital.

The groom’s side has alleged that the incident was done with the intention of spoiling the wedding ceremony. The bride’s daughter has only one family in the village. In such a situation, people from the other side did not want this marriage to happen well. Because of this, people attacked the marriage party and beat them up.

Father forced to carry daughter’s body on bike

In such a situation, poor family members could not afford a private dead body vehicle, so they kept the body on the bike, but as soon as the bike left the middle city, collector Vandana Vaidya got information about it at night. Collector Vandana Vaidya himself stopped the family members on the way to take the body in the middle of the night and reprimanded the civil surgeon and instructed to send the body to the vehicle immediately.

The body was provided to the victim’s parents by the Collector and sent to their home village.

SC committee to hear Hindenburg case report on July 11

The expert committee appointed by the Supreme Court in the Hindenburg case has submitted its report, which has been ordered by the Supreme Court to be submitted to the concerned parties. The next hearing in the case will be on July 11. This expert committee will continue to help the Supreme Court even further. Moreover, the Supreme Court has also given SEBI a three-month extension to investigate the matter, and now they have been given time till August 14.

SEBI will have to submit a status report by August 14, and after that the court can consider an extension. The CJI said that if SEBI is facing any real difficulty in the investigation, then tell me. “We could have given you time till September 30, but you tell us at what stage the investigation is and give an updated status report of the investigation,” he said.

The court said that the expert committee has submitted the report keeping in mind the stipulated time limit of two months, so that the court and the concerned parties are able to analyze the report and consider the suggestions of the expert committee. The supreme court-appointed expert committee’s report will now be heard on July 11, and SEBI has to file an interim status report of the probe by August 14. The apex court also said that the expert committee will continue to assist the court.
