Arjun Ram Meghwal takes charge as Law Minister, Kiren Rijiju to Earth Sciences

The central government has changed the department of Law Minister Kiren Rijiju. Rijiju has now been given the Ministry of Earth and Science. Arjun Ram Meghwal will replace Kiren Rijiju as the Law Minister of Bikaner. According to a notification issued by the Rashtrapati Bhavan, Arjun Meghwal has been given independent charge. Arjun Ram Meghwal will also hold the charge of Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs.

Kiren Rijiju was appointed law minister in July 2021, replacing Ravi Shankar Prasad. In the year 2019, he was given the responsibility of the Sports Ministry.

Kiren Rijiju has been in the headlines for his comments on judges. Rijiju had also said about the collegium that no one in the country can warn anyone. There was also a statement on retired judges that some retired judges have become part of the Anti-India Group.
