CEO speak Lokesh Chandel – I strongly believe that Indians are endowed with a unique dimension of creativity that reflects the hues of their culture, the colours of their traditions and the greatness of their heritage — that can be compared to none other. Being rooted with the beauty of this amazing land, I aspire to be one of the million reasons for its progress and prosperity with the freshness and distinctivity of my endeavours. Undertaking a profession akin into my passion, makes every job a fulfillment as well as an absolute joy. It is rightly said that, “Pleasure in the job puts perfection in the work and success in all your creations”.
I started taking classes as soon as I finished attending them. That was my transition from engineering college to coaching as I didn’t want to waste any time while I was job hunting. Little did I know, it would become a way of life. In so many ways, teaching changed my life, helped build my character, improved my communication skills, and made me an extrovert! Coming from a middle-class family, traveling was a luxury. The idea of monetizing travel was a bit risky but my family supported me wholeheartedly. This triggered the concept of adventure travel for me and @activity_adda was born. Now Exploring offbeat destinations and beautiful locations was not just touristy but research and business. Par zindagi ke utaar chadhaav se kaun bach sakta hai? And as life would have it, COVID hit like a villain. Aur jab sab gharon ke darwaze lockdown ki wajah se band they, opportunity ne humara doorbell bajaya! While we were still in partial lockdown, I received a call from a plant nursery, and they were looking for ways to bring people back to offline mode of shopping. Along with beautiful flowers, plants, and much needed green love, this place boasted a 50 feet high Eiffel tower. While international travels were still questionable, me and my wife built up our own little France in Mumbai. This was a milestone for Spaces of Solitude. Starting from date nights for couples to planning proposals, we advanced to ace the concept of surprises. To my astonishment, there was a huge demand in the market when it came to surprise planning and proposals. Our spaces became our USP. Peaceful open-air private locations; a treat for couples in metro cities! We started from 4.5k for a date night and went on adding services like photographers, guitarists, fireworks, flashmobs, private movie screening, and the list goes on. Today our proposal service ranges up to lac. As work flooded in, our dreams were growing bigger, and we started looking at expansions. Inspired by Shark Tank, we started pitching our idea to potential investors. On one such pitch, impressed by our work, the investor offered me to plan and execute his daughter’s wedding along with the investment. And that’s how we forayed into wedding planning. It was like sailing in uncharted waters but, by working with an experienced team, we pulled it off. It was an experience to remember forever. So in this month of love, live a little larger, love a little harder, and if you’re stuck somewhere, don’t hesitate to hit the SOS button for Unforgettable Proposal Ideas. #sayitwithlove
