New Delhi: Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Saturday said he is fighting for democracy and is not afraid after being disqualified from the Lok Sabha membership. Rahul Gandhi said that the Bharatiya Janata Party is accusing him of insulting the OBC community to divert attention from questions related to the Adani Group.
“The real question is that Rs 20,000 crore has been invested in the Adani Group, whose money is that money?” he said, claiming that he was disqualified from the Lok Sabha membership as Prime Minister Narendra Modi was afraid that he would speak on the Adani issue again in the House.
“I have always talked about brotherhood, this matter is not about OBCs. The entire game of disqualification, allegations levelled by ministers was played to divert people’s attention from the Adani issue. Even if they disqualify me permanently, I will continue to do my job.
“The ministers lied about me, even though I did not say anything that was claimed. I requested the Lok Sabha Speaker to give me a chance to reply. I went to the Speaker’s chamber. I said it’s the law, it’s the rule. These people have made false allegations. Why are you not allowing me to speak? The Speaker smiled and said I can’t do that. ”
“I was disqualified because the Prime Minister was scared of my next speech which was going to be on Adani. I have seen this fear in their eyes. “Whether I got membership or not. Disqualify me permanently, I don’t care whether I stay inside Parliament or not. “I see the truth, I speak the truth. It’s in my blood… This is my penance, I will continue to do it. Whether you disqualify me, beat me up, put me in jail, I don’t care, I have to do my penance. ’
Let us understand what is the Right to Health Bill? What will people benefit from the Right to Health Bill? Why is the Right to Health Bill being opposed? And what does the state government have to say about this whole matter? Let’s get started.
The Right to Health Bill was one of the poll promises of the ruling Congress in the 2018 Rajasthan Assembly elections. For the first time in the financial year 2022-23, CM Ashok Gehlot announced to bring the Right to Health Bill. According to it, the bill was introduced in the Assembly in September 2022 but could not move forward due to various other reasons, including the provision of mandatory free emergency treatment. Due to heavy opposition, the bill was sent to the Select Committee. After which it was passed on Tuesday in the current budget session.
What are the benefits of the Right to Health Bill? In the simplest terms, patients should not be forbidden for treatment in private hospitals, that is why the Right to Health Bill has been brought. Under the Bill, the state government will compensate the concerned patient in case the expenses of treatment in an emergency are not borne. The State Health Authority Logistical Complaints has also been constituted under the Right to Health Bill. Also, there is a provision for district level authority.
The second reason is that land has been provided by the state government to big private hospitals of the state at a subsidized rate. A provision has been made to connect these hospitals under the Right to Health Bill. This bill will provide these rights and benefits to the residents of Rajasthan.
– Residents of Rajasthan have the right to seek information to keep themselves healthy. – Right to free consultation, medicines, treatment, emergency transportation and emergency care in all designated public health institutions.
Right of residents of Rajasthan to free/affordable care for surgeries in all public hospitals notified. – Residents of Rajasthan covered under Chiranjeevi Scheme have the right to avail free services under the insurance scheme through hospitals listed under the insurance scheme. – Right to get free services to the residents of Rajasthan in private hospitals established through land allotment.
All health care establishments will have the right to proper referral transportation, public or private. – Right to take treatment summary in case the patient leaves even after consultation with the doctor. – Right to hear any complaint that has occurred after availing the services. – Right to receive the body to the family member or authorized person of the deceased, despite payment remaining from each health center, etc.
After the central government, now the Rajasthan government has also increased the Dearness Allowance (DA) of government employees and pensioners by four percent. Now the DA has increased from 38 to 42 percent. The Finance Department issued orders on Saturday to increase the DA of employees and pensioners. About eight lakh employees and four lakh pensioners of the state will get the benefit of the increased DA.
The increased DA will be counted from January 1. The da for three months from January to March will be deposited in the GPF accounts of the employees. From April, the increased DA will be available with salary. Workcharged employees will also get the benefit of increased DA. Let us tell you that after every six months, the DA of employees and pensioners is increased. As soon as the central government increases the DA, the state government has also been increasing the DA.
Cm Gehlot tweeted about the announcement and said that with this, the state government will bear about Rs 1640 crore annually. This decision will benefit about 8 lakh employees and 4.40 lakh pensioners. Apart from state employees and pensioners, the benefit of the increased Dearness Allowance will also be payable to panchayat samiti and zila parishad employees.
Let us tell you that earlier on October 30, it was announced to increase the Dearness Allowance by 4 percent. Under this, 38 percent Dearness Allowance was to be given to employees and pensioners from July 1, 2022. Prior to that, 34 percent DA was being received.
In Rajasthan, the movement of private doctors against the Right to Health Bill continues at the state level. Due to the closure of private hospitals, the burden of patients on government hospitals has increased. Resident doctors are also boycotting work in protest against the use of force on doctors. In such a situation, the medical system in government hospitals across the state has collapsed. The state’s largest SMS hospital is also witnessing a huge rush of patients. On the other hand, the medical minister has accused the agitating doctors of doing politics.
Although senior doctors have taken the lead due to the boycott of work by the residents, priority is being given to essential operations in the government hospital. Patients are being given a later date for routine operations. Necessary operations are being done in hospitals. Those who do not need surgery immediately are being given later time.
Regarding the agitation of doctors, Medical Minister Parsadi Lal Meena has claimed that treatment is being done in all private hospitals associated with Chiranjeevi Scheme across the state. Patients are also being treated in hospitals where land has been given free of cost and at a concessional rate. The minister said that the strike was being carried out despite all the demands of the striking doctors already being accepted. After the passage of the Right to Health Bill, now the government is not ready to back down, so private hospitals are also not ready to withdraw their strike. In such a situation, patients are facing problems.
On the other hand, private hospitals and nursing homes society have announced to continue the agitation. The society says that now private medical colleges will also join this shutdown. This strike of doctors has been going on for almost a week. Private doctors and hospitals across the state are opposing the Right to Health Bill. Private hospitals say that the problems of private hospitals were not heard in the bill. With the passage of the bill, the burden on private hospitals will increase.
