Opposition protests, black cloth waved in front of Speaker’s mouth in Lok Sabha

Lok Sabha

New Delhi: The Opposition on Monday staged a black protest over the termination of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s Parliament membership and the Adani case. It was attended by 17 opposition parties. Congress president Sonia Gandhi also arrived in Parliament wearing black clothes. On the other hand, opposition MPs created a huge ruckus in the Lok Sabha. An MP also waved a black cloth in front of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.

In fact, as soon as the proceedings of both the Houses started at 11 am, the opposition started sloganeering. This led to the adjournment of the Rajya Sabha till 2 pm and the Lok Sabha till 4 pm. After this, the Rajya Sabha proceedings started at 2 pm, but due to the ruckus, it was adjourned for the day.

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge described the day as a “dark chapter” for democracy. “For the first time, the ruling party is stalling Parliament. Why? Because the dark deeds of Modi ji’s best friend are being exposed! The united opposition will stick to the JPC’s demand. ‘

“Why have we come in black clothes? We want to show that PM Modi is destroying democracy in this country. First they abolished autonomous institutions, then the PM formed his government by intimidating the person who won the election. Those who did not bow down to him, used ED and CBI to bend them. ‘

Mallikarjun Kharge today held a meeting of leaders of opposition parties in his chamber before parliament proceedings began. In this, 17 parties including Congress, DMK, SP, JDU, CPM, RJD, NCP, CPI, AAP and TMC participated.

Doctors call for nationwide strike to protest Against Right to Health Bill

0
Right to Health Bill

In Rajasthan, the strike of doctors in protest against the Right to Health Bill is not going to stop. The doctors have bluntly told the government that they want the bill back. If the bill is not withdrawn, the strike will continue. Here, doctors protested in the capital Jaipur on Monday. Hundreds of doctors marched on foot outside SMS Medical College in Jaipur. Here, in protest against the bill and in support of doctors, the Indian Medical Association (IMA) has called for a nationwide shutdown on Monday, in which it has been said to stop medical services.

The march started from SMS Medical College at around 11 am and passed through Gokhale Hostel Marg, Information Centre Tonk Road, Ashok Marg, Rajput Sabha Bhawan, MI Road, Ajmeri Gate, New Gate, Albert Hall and returned to the medical college.

Earlier on Sunday, a delegation of doctors had a meeting with Chief Secretary Usha Sharma, but it remained inconclusive. The doctors are adamant on the demand to withdraw the bill, while the government is adamant on implementing the bill. In such a situation, the public has to bear the brunt of this fight. Problems are increasing due to people not getting treatment on time.

Residents are still on strike in hospitals attached to government medical colleges in Jaipur and other cities of the state. Due to the strike of residents for more than 7 days, the medical system has collapsed across the state. But no solution seems to be coming out.
