16 opposition parties march, protest in Adani case

Published on

Lok Sabha-Rajya Sabha proceedings were adjourned till 2 pm following heavy ruckus on Wednesday, the third day of the Parliament session. While the leaders of the opposition remained adamant on demanding a JPC to probe the Adani case, the BJP MPs were adamant on demanding an apology from Rahul Gandhi for the statement made in London.

Earlier, 16 leaders of the opposition held a meeting at Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s house in the morning. In the meeting, it was agreed to put more pressure on the government regarding the demand of JPC to investigate the Hindenburg-Adani report. All parties raised questions on the silence of the government in the Adani case.

On the other hand, Rahul Gandhi, who returned from abroad on Wednesday, once again targeted the central government regarding Adani. Here, as soon as the session was adjourned, the leaders of the opposition came out to protest at the ED office, although the police had already stopped them. In such a situation, the march and demonstration of the opposition ended in 25 minutes.
