Shoaib Malik URGES India To Travel to Pakistan For Champions Trophy 2025

After ending their 11-year ICC trophy drought by winning the T20 World Cup 2024, India now aims to add more trophies to their collection. The upcoming ICC event for India is the Champions Trophy to be held in Pakistan, marking the country’s first time hosting since the 1996 ODI World Cup.

Despite political tensions, former Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik believes sports should be kept separate from politics and has urged Team India to participate. Malik emphasised that the Pakistan team visited India in 2023 and India should reciprocate, highlighting the opportunity for Indian players who may not have experienced playing in Pakistan. He emphasised the warm hospitality of the Pakistani people and suggested that the Indian team should consider coming.
