India is the most populous country in the world, population crossed 142 crores

India has now become the most populous country in the world. According to the report of the United Nations Population Fund, now the population of India has increased to 142 crore 86 lakhs. On the other hand, the population of China is only 142 crore 57 lakh. That is, our population is about 30 lakh more than that of China, India is the most populous country.

As early as 2023, global experts had predicted that India would become the most populous country this year. The UN has been releasing population data in the world since 1950. This is the first time that the population of India has exceeded that of China.

Although China is better than India in terms of average life expectancy. Here the average age of men is 76 years and the average age of women is 82 years. Whereas in India the average age of men is 74 years and the average age of women is only 71 years.

The representative of UNFPA India said that now the world population has reached 8 billion. He said that India is a powerful country. It is continuously moving forward in terms of education, health, sanitation and economic development. We are making new records everyday in technical matters.
