Sunita Agarwal, an Indian optometrist and vision therapist, has been making waves in the field of pediatric vision care. With a focus on philanthropy and a passion for helping children, Sunita has dedicated her career to improving the vision health of young patients.
Starting her career at Drishtikone clinic, Sunita realized the importance of behavioral and vision therapy in pediatric care. This led her to pursue certification in optometric vision therapy from the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD), USA, becoming the only certified optometric vision therapist in India recognized by COVD.
Sunita’s contributions expanded when she joined the child development center at Apollo Gleneagles Hospital in Kolkata. Here, she played a crucial role in treating children with developmental disorders and disabilities, and was instrumental in establishing the Nabajatak Child Development Centre in Kolkata.
With a special interest in autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Sunita obtained certification in the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) from the UK. She currently heads the Vision Therapy department at Aster Women and Child Hospital in Bangalore.
In addition to her clinical work, Sunita is an entrepreneur, distributing vision therapy products from Bernell Inc., USA, and manufacturing high-quality, affordable vision therapy products under the banner of Fusion VTP.
Sunita’s academic pursuits include being a PhD scholar, conducting research in Vision Therapy. She has presented her research at numerous national and international conferences, earning recognition for her contributions to the field.
Sunita Agarwal’s dedication to pediatric vision care is evident in her roles as a Consultant Optometrist and Vision Therapist at Apollo Gleneagles Hospital CDC, Kolkata, and as a Consultant Optometrist and HOD Vision Therapy at Aster Women and Child Hospital, Bangalore. She is also the Founder and Proprietor of Drishtikone Vision Therapy and Neuro Vision Therapy Clinic in Howrah, and the Founder and Professional Associate of Nabajatak Child Developmental Centre in Kolkata.
Through her work, Sunita is leading the way in pediatric vision therapy, making a difference in the lives of countless children in India.
