This is 2025; The one who doesn’t even know about sex toys is hardly to be found now in India. With the pace of time, people have been demanding to make their sex easy. Before, people used to feel shame and hesitation while sex toys shopping. Now, the days are gone; individuals are going to embrace sex toys in India to enhance their sexual experience.

In this recent modern time, if you still feel fear of sex toys shopping, this blog is absolutely made for you.

How Sex Toys Getting Popular Over Time:

Sex toys are not the new trend. Rather, people have used sex toys since 20,000-30,000 years ago. Anthropologists found ancient dildos made with wood, stones, elephant teeth, etc. However, this is not the main discussion of this topic. But here, what I mean to say is that we’re familiar with the term “Sex Toy” perhaps recently, but it has an ancient history that few know about.

During Lockdown 2020, marketers noticed a surge in the sale of sex toys in India. Accordingly, people were going to cope with the role of sex toys. Also, the influence of some adult movies where sex toys are creatively demonstrated made emotions for adult products into people’s minds. In this way, both the demand and turnover of sex toys have risen at a pace.

Sex Toys VS Government Law & Restriction:

“The government may restrict the sale of sex toys, but they are not our enemy at all”, said Venkatesh Tripathi, the marketing head of “Teentoy”. In fact, the Government doesn’t restrict the sale of sex toys in Mumbai, but they have fixed some conditions. For example, trading sex toys in the offline market is illegal and also punishable. Likewise, sex toys should be delivered with discreet packaging as per obscenity law.

Sex toys contribute approximately 0.007% to the Indian GDP. It is expected that the market size of sex toys will be 21,912 crore in 2030. This achievement was so gigantic that the Indian Government had to reform and liberalize its legal policies, such as the obscenity law. “Notwithstanding the ambiguity of the law structure, Govt gives a hint to sell/purchase discreetly without harming the social norms”, Venkatesh Tripathi also said.

Revised Marketing Policy of Sex Toys

In the very recent time, 2024-2025, the marketing policy of sex toys has been slightly changed. Sex toys in India are no longer vulgar. Vibrators, massagers, prostate massagers, strokers, and masturbation sleeves are categorized as personal body massagers and wellness products rather than sex toys. Accordingly, the popularity and turnover of sex toys in India hit the peak. In the era of discreet sex toys, individuals seamlessly enjoy their shopping without fear and awkwardness.
