So far only 134 bodies have been recovered in the bridge accident that took place in Morbi, Gujarat on the evening of 30 October. The official figure of deaths is also being told the same. On Tuesday, the third day of the accident, the Navy and NDRF teams have once again started searching for the dead bodies in Machhu. Apart from this, a demand has also been made from the Supreme Court for a judicial inquiry into the bridge accident. The court will hear this on November 14.

On the other hand, two managers of the Orewa company, which maintained the bridge, two contractors repairing the bridge, two ticket clerks and three security guards were arrested. But in the FIR of the police, there is neither mention of Orewa Company, which earns money by operating the bridge, nor Devprakash Solutions, which does the work of renovation. Also, the engineers of Morbi Municipality responsible for monitoring the bridge are not named in it. In such a situation, allegations are being made that the government is patting its back only by holding the lower employees responsible for the accident.

Here after the accident, one day state mourning has been declared in Gujarat on Wednesday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also meet the families of the dead and the injured in Morbi on Tuesday.

However, the Civil Hospital has been painted and repaired overnight before his visit to Morbi. New beds and water coolers have also been installed in the patients’ wards. Yesterday 100 bodies were brought to the same hospital. Now the opposition Congress and Aam Aadmi Party have taken a dig at the repair of hospitals. Opposition parties have said that the BJP is involved in event management so that the photoshoot of the Prime Minister can be done.

Let us tell you that the old cable bridge was broken in Morbi, Gujarat. In which more than 134 people died while many were injured.
