Jain was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on May 30 under sections of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act. Due to not getting bail, the difficulties of Satyendar Jain are increasing. Director Shankar Shanmugam is undoubtedly one of the most creative filmmakers in India. Now, the latest we hear is about one song from his film with Ram Charan and Kiara Advani, which is going to be the second most expensive Indian song ever. Keep reading to know more about it.
For the unversed, Shankar’s next untitled film with Ram is a political action thriller. It also has Kiara Advani as a female lead. Just like his recent films, this one too is riding high on a huge budget. In the past, the director has shot some most expensive songs including Yanthara Lokapu Sundarive (2.0), Ladio (I) and Kilimanjaro (Robot). Now, the list is getting one more addition.

As per the report on TrackTollywood.com, the budget of the untitled song from Ram Charan and Shankar’s film is said to carry a budget of 15 crores. Yes, you read that right! The song will be shot in New Zealand in a span of 12 days and Kiara Advani will be sharing screen space with Ram in it. It is composed by S Thaman and will be choreographed by Jaani Master. This cost is almost equal to Kantara’s budget, which is reportedly 16 crores.

However, even with this budget, Ram Charan and Kiara Advani’s untitled song is the second most expensive Indian song. The first spot is held by Rajinikanth and Amy Jackson starrer Yanthara Lokapu Sundarive song from Shankar’s 2.0. It was reportedly made on a whopping budget of 20 crores.

The movie showcases Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta of the 45th Cavalry tank squadron who battled the eastern front during the Indo-Pakistan war of 1971 with his siblings. The trailer hasn’t been released till now as only a few days are left for its release, leading to a postponement.

Freddy has bad prospects at Box-office and it took the OTT route to release the spine-chilling film. Such a decision is considered in good faith for its team as well. It marks Kartik’s first OTT movie which is directly releasing on this medium rather than a theatrical release.

Akshay, Paresh and I had committed to the movie, and this twist has stunned me,” Mid-day quoted Suniel Shetty as saying.

“Hera Pheri 3 cannot be the same without Akshay. Raju, Babu bhaiyya and Shyam are iconic characters whose journeys have been together. There’s palpable excitement when you mention the film. I want to see if things can still fall in place,” the actor added.
Akshay had stated, “The film was offered to me but I was not satisfied with the script. I have to do what people want to see. That is why, I backed out. I took a step behind. It is a part of my life and journey for me. I am also very sad that I can’t do it. But I am not happy with how the creative things have shaped out.”

Ban on sale of Johnson’s Baby Powder, Bombay High Court orders inquiry

The Bombay High Court on Wednesday ordered fresh testing of samples of Johnson & Johnson baby powder. Along with this, the court has allowed the company to manufacture the product (baby powder), but it cannot be sold. In fact, the company had filed a petition challenging two orders of the state government. This decision has come in response to that.

The September 15 order canceled the license and the September 20 order asked the company to immediately stop production and sale of baby powder, according to state government orders. These orders were issued by the Joint Commissioner and Licensing Authority of the State Food and Drug Administration. Justice S. V. Gangapurwala and Justice S. Yes. Dige’s division bench on Wednesday directed the authority to collect fresh samples from the company’s factory in Mumbai’s Mulund area within three days.

After this, these samples will be sent for testing to three laboratories, two government and one private. The court has said that the samples will be sent to the Central Drug Testing Laboratory (Western Region), FDA Lab and Intertek Laboratory for testing. After this, these laboratories will have to submit their reports within a week.

The company’s senior counsel Ravi Kadam sought that the court allow the company to at least manufacture the product till then. To this, the bench said that the petitioner has been barred by the government from selling or distributing baby powder. The company has to comply with this order. If the company chooses to manufacture the product, it will be at its own risk.

Supreme Court refuses to consider Kathua gangrape accused as minor, case will run like adult

The Supreme Court has refused to recognize the accused in the Kathua gangrape and murder case as a minor. The Supreme Court on Wednesday said that the accused in the sensational gang rape and murder of an 8-year-old girl in Kathua is not a minor. Now he can be tried afresh as an adult.

The Supreme Court in its judgment said that medical opinion regarding the age of an accused cannot be set aside in the absence of statutory evidence. A bench of Justice Ajay Rastogi and Justice JB Pardiwala said that in the absence of any other conclusive evidence, medical opinion should be considered for determining the age limit of the accused. Whether or not medical evidence can be relied upon depends on the weight of the evidence.

The Supreme Court bench set aside the orders of the Chief Judicial Magistrate of Kathua and the High Court. These orders stated that the accused Shubham Sangra was a minor at the time of the case and hence he should be tried separately. Justice Pardiwala while delivering the judgment said that we set aside the decisions of the CJM Kathua and the High Court and hold that the accused was not a minor at the time of the offence.

In fact, in 2019, an eight-year-old girl was raped in Kathua village of Jammu and Kashmir. A special court had in June 2019 sentenced three people to life imprisonment in the case and five years imprisonment to three police officers for destroying evidence. But the trial against Sangra was transferred to the Juvenile Justice Board.
