A Childhood That Ended Early

Srishti was still a toddler when she lost her father. She was ten when she lost her mother.

What followed was not the story of a girl being raised. It was the story of a girl doing the raising. With no financial support and no safety net, she took on responsibility for her younger brother at an age when most children are still being walked to school. Survival came first. Income came first. Everything else — including her own future — was negotiable.

Even after establishing herself, Srishti pivoted — hard — toward gaming, the thing she had wanted since she was a child and could never afford to want out loud.
