The Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has launched the ‘My Life, My Clean City’ programme for waste management. Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri launched the campaign on May 15. Under this, a campaign will be run throughout the city by adopting triple R-reduce, reuse and recycle. Under the campaign, people’s non-essential items like old clothes, shoes, books, toys, plastic items and electronic items will be taken away, so that they can be recycled and the city will be made garbage-free. This campaign will be run till June 5 i.e. World Environment Day.
