Jaipur: Miscreants uprooted an SBI ATM in Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan late on Thursday night. The six miscreants first broke open the ATM with a knife and then loaded it in a pickup and fled. There were about 8 lakh rupees in the ATM. Different teams of police are looking for the miscreants.
SBI’s Private Branch Manager Kailash Chandra Meena said that a call was received from the ATM Switch Center. He said that the camera of the ATM in Baunli has been broken. The police were then informed.
When the police scanned the CCTV footage at 7 am on Friday, more than 6 miscreants were seen committing the crime. The miscreants were wearing white clothes and gloves. The faces were also covered with masks. The miscreants broke the shutter of the ATM at 2 am and with the help of saria and other goods, uprooted the ATM and loaded it in an open pickup vehicle in about 5 minutes and fled.
The manager says that there were 7 lakh 81 thousand 800 rupees in the ATM. The police have also sought footage from the ATM switch centre. CCTV footage from the vicinity is also being seen. Different teams have started searching for the thieves by blocking the blockade. There is also an atmosphere of fear among the local shopkeepers after a major incident like uprooting of ATMs for the first time in the area. There is no arrangement of night guard at SBI bank and ATM. In such a situation, questions are also being raised on the security of jewellery worth crores kept in the locker.

Five months ago, miscreants had uprooted an ATM of SBI Bank in Chauth Ka Barwada of Sawai Madhopur. At that time there were about 12 lakh 10 thousand rupees in the machine. Cctv footage of the incident was also revealed. In this, 4-5 robbers were seen tying the ATM with a rope and dragging it away. 4 to 5 miscreants were seen wearing cloth on their mouths. One of the miscreants had disconnected all the security equipment. Then he went out. Then another miscreant came in and completely uprooted the ATM and tied it with a rope and dragged it towards the road. The robbers have not been caught in the case yet.
