Collector Sushri Riju Bafna did a detailed review of the construction works under Panchayat and Rural Development Department in the district in the collectorate meeting room. In this, he reviewed district-wise progress of CC road construction, Prime Minister’s residence, selected Dug Pand, Amrit Sarovar, Gaushalas, water conservation, medh bandhan, pastures, farm-ponds etc. in gram panchayats. He said that the work in the district panchayats should be completed within the stipulated time. Dug ponds are to be constructed on government land. This work should be completed before the rains. Among these, the women members of self-help groups are encouraged to take up fish farming, so that they can earn additional income. It is known that more income can be obtained from fish farming as compared to traditional farming.
