Rajasthan has become the state with the highest unemployment percentage in the country after Haryana. According to the latest report of the Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE), the unemployment rate in Rajasthan is 28.50 per cent, which is the highest in the country after Haryana. Rajasthan ranks second in terms of unemployment in the country. Haryana has the highest unemployment rate of 37.4 per cent in the country. Rajasthan has an unemployment rate of 28.50 per cent. While the national average rate of unemployment is 8.3 percent.

The unemployment rate in the country reached 8.3 percent in December 2022. Which is the highest in the year 2022. India’s urban unemployment rate fell to 10 per cent in December, while the unemployment rate in rural areas was 7.5 per cent. According to the data, the unemployment rate in November 2022 was only 8 percent, while in September it was the lowest at 6.43 percent. The unemployment rate in August was 8.28 per cent, the second highest this year.

Haryana has the highest unemployment rate of 37.4 percent in December 2022. It was followed by Rajasthan at 28.5 per cent, Delhi at 20.8 per cent, Bihar at 19.1 per cent and Jharkhand at 18 per cent. Orissa has the lowest unemployment rate at 0.9 per cent. Gujarat has an unemployment rate of 2.3 per cent and Karnataka 2.5 per cent. Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh also have unemployment rates ranging from 10 to 3 per cent. Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Assam, Puducherry also have an unemployment rate of less than 5 per cent.
