In an industry dominated by OTAs and aggregators, MyTravaly, a bootstrapped travel tech startup from India, is building a full-stack hospitality solution aimed at small and mid-sized hotels, homestays, and resorts—no commissions, no middlemen.

The platform recently launched its Hotel Business Centre, a SaaS suite that gives hoteliers everything they need to manage, operate, and grow their property—without depending on legacy OTAs.

“We’re not another marketplace. We’re building the tools hoteliers need to become their own platform,” said Hamlet Roy, MyTravaly’s founder and CEO.

The platform supports 10,000+ hoteliers and has served over 1 million travelers to date.

Built for Scale, Without Venture Capital

Founded in 2019 and bootstrapped to profitability, MyTravaly is one of the few Indian travel startups to scale without raising external capital. The decision was intentional.

“We wanted to stay product-obsessed, not pitch-deck obsessed,” Roy told News channel.

Instead of burning cash on user acquisition, the startup focused on solving real pain points—automation, distribution, and independence for hoteliers who don’t have tech teams or marketing budgets.

Expansion In Progress

MyTravaly currently operates across India, Nepal and Bangladesh and is preparing for entry into Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. Expansion efforts include:

Hiring regional business development teams
Partnering with local hotel associations
Launching white-labeled booking tools for small chains and clusters

The startup is also exploring AI integrations for pricing, review management, and guest personalization.

Why It Matters

The global travel recovery is accelerating, but small and independent hotels are still at a tech disadvantage. Most rely heavily on platforms that charge steep commissions and offer little control.

MyTravaly offers an alternate path—a cloud-based OS for hoteliers to own the guest journey, reduce costs, and boost occupancy.

“If Shopify did it for eCommerce stores, we’re doing it for hospitality,” Roy said.
