The summit, organized by the Department of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, served as a platform to promote innovation, strengthen regional industries, and provide new growth opportunities for emerging businesses. In his address, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav emphasized the government’s commitment to transforming Madhya Pradesh into a leading hub for innovation, manufacturing, and entrepreneurship under the state’s new Startup Policy 2025.

Yadav said that the MSME sector forms the backbone of the state economy, contributing significantly to employment, exports, and industrial growth. The ₹200 crore support package will help thousands of enterprises access funding for technology upgrades, capacity building, and expansion. “Our goal is to make Madhya Pradesh self-reliant in every sector by empowering small businesses and startups that create jobs locally and drive innovation,” the Chief Minister said.

Boost for Innovation and Employment

A key highlight of the summit was the distribution of financial assistance to over 80 promising startups from different sectors, including agriculture technology, renewable energy, information technology, healthcare innovation, food processing, and textile manufacturing. Each of these startups received funding exceeding ₹1 crore under the provisions of the new Startup Policy 2025.

The policy focuses on promoting local talent, encouraging youth-led ventures, and helping new businesses overcome financial challenges during their early stages. It also aims to foster collaborations between academic institutions and industry experts to support research-based innovation.

During his speech, CM Yadav mentioned that the Startup Policy 2025 is designed to create more than one lakh new job opportunities in the next five years through direct and indirect employment generation. The policy includes measures like simplified registration procedures, tax incentives, and dedicated incubation centers across major cities including Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, and Gwalior.

Inclusive Entrepreneurship Development

The government has also prioritized inclusivity under the new policy. Women entrepreneurs, rural innovators, and social-impact startups will receive special incentives and mentorship support. CM Yadav said that the state aims to ensure balanced entrepreneurial growth across urban and rural regions. “Innovation should not be limited to big cities. Even small towns and villages of Madhya Pradesh can become centers of creativity and enterprise,” he noted.

The MSME Department announced that the new initiative will also include digital assistance for small business owners, ensuring that technology adoption becomes easier across all sectors. Dedicated MSME facilitation centers will guide entrepreneurs in areas like digital marketing, export readiness, and financial management.

Industrial Leaders Praise State Efforts

The MSME Summit brought together some of India’s leading industrialists and investors who praised Madhya Pradesh’s proactive approach toward supporting small enterprises and startups. Representatives from leading business associations such as CII, FICCI, and ASSOCHAM participated in the event.

Industry bodies acknowledged that the ₹200 crore grant initiative reflects the state’s long-term vision of strengthening its business climate. Many experts expressed that the move would help local industries adapt to global market trends and create a more resilient economy. A special panel discussion on “Empowering MSMEs for a Digital Future” highlighted opportunities for technology-driven transformation and sustainable business practices.

Startup Success Stories

Several entrepreneurs shared their journeys and experiences at the summit. Among them was a Bhopal-based agri-tech startup that developed IoT-based irrigation systems for small farmers. Another Indore-based healthcare startup presented its innovative diagnostic platform that provides affordable health screening to rural populations. These stories showcased the energy and talent driving Madhya Pradesh’s new startup wave.

Government officials also shared details about upcoming plans, including establishing a state Startup Incubation Fund, simplifying business registration through a single-window system, and launching the “MP Innovation Network” to connect entrepreneurs with investors and mentors.

Future Roadmap for Growth

The MSME Summit 2025 concluded with discussions on building a sustainable roadmap for the next phase of industrial growth in Madhya Pradesh. The government plans to align future programs with India’s broader vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India). Efforts will focus on green manufacturing, renewable energy adoption, and export competitiveness.

Chief Minister Yadav reaffirmed his government’s determination to continue supporting entrepreneurs through stable policies and partnerships. He said, “Madhya Pradesh will become a model for industrial progress where every idea finds the right support, every startup gets a platform, and every young innovator sees a future.”

A New Era for Business in Madhya Pradesh

The launch of the ₹200 crore support scheme marks a new chapter in Madhya Pradesh’s industrial development. The combined impact of the MSME Summit, Startup Policy 2025, and government assistance programs is expected to accelerate business creation and strengthen the state’s position as a rising innovation hub in central India.

With over 80 startups already receiving financial support under the new policy, the state government’s initiative is paving the way for thousands more to grow in the coming years. As Madhya Pradesh continues to attract investments and foster entrepreneurial talent, the state is well on its path to becoming one of India’s leading destinations for startups and MSMEs.
