GoFans, a social platform created by STEHAWK PRIVATE LIMITED, is launching in the Indian market with a goal to empower creators to earn directly from their audience. The platform is designed for teachers, trainers, artists, musicians and mentors, unifying content, interactions with fans and paid offerings all in one place. Its offering tackles a problem that’s familiar to anybody attempting to build an online following: attracting fans doesn’t guarantee a steady income.
For creators who have spent years publishing on international social apps, earning often means finding work beyond the ‘feed’. They may have to deal with multiple services because of brand partnerships, external course websites and separately arranged consultations. GoFans is positioning itself as a social home where followers can become paying customers without creators having to organise each sale via a different platform. It is about giving practical content and know-how a direct route to payment.
The Indian creator platform currently has four revenue streams: fan subscriptions, paid one-to-one sessions, courses and digital products. A teacher might offer a paid course, or a musician might sell lessons and downloadable resources. Fitness coaches and mentors can offer individual sessions and sell them as part of their programmes. These are all ways for creators to create offers based on what their audience actually desires, without relying solely on one stream of revenue.
Payments cater to Indian users, with UPI and RuPay offered at checkout. On subscriptions, GoFans mentions a creator share of 80 per cent, with gateway processing charges and GST applied prior to the split. It estimates that creators keep around 94–95% after the stated charges for Shop or Course sales. Creators can request withdrawals to their verified Indian bank accounts, with payouts subject to review. PAN and bank verification are part of the process.
Based on data provided by the company, 600 users have signed up since its launch, and about 200 people are active each month, which equals about one-third of registered users. It reports ₹15,000 in revenue so far and says it has already completed payouts to its first creators. There is no outside investment; the business is bootstrapped. These are preliminary figures—continued activity and repeat purchases will provide a clearer sign of whether it is creating real value for its initial users.
“Indian creators built their audiences on platforms that were never built for them. GoFans exist so a creator in any Indian city can turn followers into a livelihood — paid in rupees, into their own bank account,” the founder of GoFans explained. It echoes the company’s core message: creators must have a viable means to earn from their offerings, whether through their expertise, creative tools or personal interactions.
Moderation is also part of GoFans’ product positioning. Explicit content is banned, the company explains, and its moderation process includes automated checks and manual reviews. The setting in which their work is displayed can impact an educator’s decision when considering an Indian creator monetization platform. GoFans is looking to attract creators and fans through that environment, alongside local payments and multiple earning avenues.
The company’s launch brief says paid communities and fan support are on the roadmap. Its first job is to help creators turn their initial earnings into a sustainable business and encourage fans to return to the platform. Creators can join for free at gofans.in, and the company says they can have their first paid offering up and running in minutes.
