Aligarh: A 20-year-old man has been sentenced to 20 years in jail for raping a 13-year-old Hindu girl at Manzoorgarhi in Aligarh district. The verdict was pronounced by the ADJ Special POCSO court. It is being told that the daughter of the parents has been living in Nari Niketan since this incident.
According to the news of News18, this incident is on 25 October 2020. The accused, Pappu Mohammad Hasan (50), had adopted a 13-year-old Hindu girl without parents, according to a complaint filed by a social worker living in the area. On the day of the incident, the daughter-in-law of the accused saw him misbehaving with the child and raised an alarm.
The police arrived when there was a ruckus and a crowd gathered in this case. After which the social worker filed a case. The police filed a charge sheet under sections of rape on the basis of medical examination in the case. On the basis of evidence and the testimony of the girl, the court convicted the accused Pappu in two months and sentenced him to 20 years imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 50,000. Out of this, orders have been given to give Rs 40,000 to the victim.
