India secured its second medal at the Paris Olympics 2024, thanks to Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh, who won a bronze medal in the 10m air pistol mixed team event by defeating the South Korean pair of Oh Ye-Jin and Lee Wongho.
This achievement marked a historic moment for Manu Bhaker, who became the first Indian athlete to claim two medals at a single Olympics. Bhaker had previously won a bronze in the 10m air pistol women’s singles event at the same Olympics. She now joins the likes of PV Sindhu and Sushil Kumar as one of the few Indian athletes to have won multiple medals in individual sports at the Olympics.
Manu Bhaker’s journey at the Paris Olympics is not over yet, as she is set to compete in the women’s 25m air pistol event on August 2.
