A shocking case has come to light from Pilibanga in Hanumangarh district of Rajasthan. On Thursday morning, at around 5.30 am, petrol was poured from under the door of the room and set it on fire to kill the sleeping family for refusing to sell heroin to the smugglers. The husband, wife and son suffered burn injuries. The seriously injured mother and son were referred to Bikaner, where the son died during treatment and the wife’s condition remains critical. The police have rounded up some people.
According to Pilibanga police, the victim, Jasvir Das alias Gaddi, used to sell heroin about a year ago. He used to talk to a father-son duo from Punjab on mobile to buy heroin. However, the victim said in the statement that he did not know the names of both father and son. He used to come to my house to give heroin himself. For a year, I stopped drinking and selling heroin completely, due to which I lost contact with the father-son duo of Punjab. Then on January 18, father-son duo came to my ward in Pilibanga and were giving heroin to someone. When I told the father and son not to sell heroin in our street, the two started fighting. I snatched the heroin packet from both of them and threw it in the drain in the same street. Then both of them ran away from there and threatened to see me while leaving.
After this, someone poured petrol from under the room at around 5 am on Thursday morning and set it on fire. It is alleged that this act has been done by the same smugglers. His wife Manpreet Kaur and son Ekamjit Singh were injured in the accident. Hearing the commotion, people nearby rushed him to the hospital where the son died during treatment and the wife’s condition remains critical. The police have rounded up some people in this case.
