Bhopal: Protests to be held in Bhopal to implement Journalist Protection Act
Panna. Bhopal: A two-day convention of Madhya Pradesh Shramjeevi Patrakar Sangh concluded in Chitrakoot, in which a demonstration will be held on May 1 labor day in Bhopal to press for 21-point demands including journalist protection law, restoration of rail concession facility to preferential journalists and journalist panchayat. Along with this, journalists took out a rally and took out a 5 km of Kamadgiri Mountain. Along with Lord Shri Ram, we also prayed in the temple of Kamtanath Swami that the government is not paying attention to our demands. I request you to give good sense to our state government of Madhya Pradesh so that they are quick in accepting our demands.
Senior Chief Executive President of Madhya Pradesh Shramjeevi Patrakar Sangh Sharad Jajoshi said that the convention held in Chitrakoot was presided over by state president Shalabh Bhadoria. Satna MP Ganesh Singh was the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Bhadauria said that the government is not paying attention to the problems of journalists, so it is necessary that we protest at the capital headquarters on May 1 and give a memorandum to the Chief Minister like every time. But this time the demonstration should be done with full force, all the member journalists from all over the state should be present in Bhopal. The demand for a journalist protection law is our age-old demand, but the central and state governments are not paying attention to it, despite the government’s attention being drawn many times. More and more journalists will reach bhopal, the capital of the state on May 1, Labor Day and will demonstrate their power. It’s a matter of time. He announced the abolition of the post of working president on the occasion. At the same time, except the Membership Campaign Committee and the Membership Scrutiny Committee, other committees were also announced to be dissolved.
Mp Ganesh Singh in his address assured that he would be a partner in resolving the demand for the Journalist Protection Act. Journalists of the state must get the benefit of the security law. He said that the saga of Chitrakoot, the tapobhoomi of Lord Ram, is a messenger of success by facing struggle and challenges firmly. In such a situation, the resolve taken here and the conch shell of struggle will definitely be successful. Anyway, Akbar’s maternal uncle Sant Rahim has also written about Chitrakoot, “There is a big layer on it, there is a lot of danger over the security of journalists all over the world.” Therefore, an attempt has been made to seek help from Lord Kamad Giri. Mp Shri Singh asked the journalists to discharge their challenging responsibilities with diligence and integrity. At the same time, he also appreciated the awareness towards maintaining the spirit of pre-independence journalism.
Shri Joshi drew the attention of the Chief Guest and the House to the 21-point charter of demands of the journalists and highlighted the need for a Journalist Protection Act and said that our neighboring state Chhattisgarh has announced this law. A memorandum to this effect was submitted to MP Shri Singh.
