Trailer falls off 20-feet-high flyover in Jaipur, driver burnt alive

A trailer fell down from a 20-feet-high flyover in Rajasthan’s capital Jaipur. The cabin was damaged when the trailer fell down and the driver was trapped inside. During this, the trailer caught fire, due to which the driver was burnt alive. The accident took place on the Ring Road in Shivdaspura police station area of Jaipur.

According to the police, the accident took place around 5 am on the underpass near Bordio Ki Dhani on the Ring Road. Where a trailer full of iron angles was going from Agra Road to Ajmer Road. During this time, the trailer fell into the underpass below from the open cut on the flyover. The trailer caught fire as soon as it fell down from the ring road about 20 feet high, in which the driver was burnt alive. On being informed about the incident, police reached the spot and doused the flames with the help of fire brigade.

According to the people, after extinguishing the fire, the body of the driver trapped in the damaged cabin was taken out after hard work and kept in the mortuary of Mahatma Gandhi Hospital for postmortem. Also, with the help of a crane, the damaged trailer was also made on the roadside and traffic was started. It is being told that while carrying the trailer on the Ring Road, the driver got a nap, due to which the trailer fell out of control and fell into the underpass below the open cut.
