award to the whole team Born to Mr. Prabhakaran Pillai, who worked in Dubai for over a decade in the 1980s, and Mrs. Kala, Praveen Pillai relocated to the UAE in 2012. He began his career as a Business
Specialist at Taurus Electrical Service before taking on a variety of roles, including Business Project Manager at Emirates Steel, Director of Development, and Director of Business Development between 2013 and 2022.
Pillai’s journey to success culminated in 2014 when he established the Macins Group of

fit-out, electro-mechanical MEP, ELV (Security Systems), steel fabrication, and engineering

Dabba trading is sometimes referred to as box trading or bucket trading; it’s an illicit form of stock market activity happening beyond the official frames of recognized exchanges. The word “dabba” literally means “box” in Hindi and symbolizes the secret and decentralized nature of this trading. Of course, this is not a new phenomenon either, yet dabba trading finds its way to practice in many markets, even for those who want to make speculative gains in the stock market outside established channels.

In dabba trading, a broker or trader is said to trade based on the movement of price of stocks without actually selling or buying those shares on a recognized exchange like NSE or BSE. Such trades were entirely off the books, not subject to the transparency and regulation of transactions that characterizes regular stock market transfers, which is overseen by regulatory bodies such as SEBI. The whole process goes on within the dabba operator’s system without any official record of transactions.

In dabba trading, investors are essentially betting on the price movement of a stock to increase or decrease. As the stocks themselves are never bought or sold, the trades are not detected by the regulatory agencies. A trader or broker acting as a dabba operator therefore has leverage over the settlement of the trade. This technically bypasses regulatory oversight, which is supposed to protect the integrity of the financial markets from those with malicious intent and malpractice.

One of the severe drawbacks of dabba trading is that there is a lack of investor protection. Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Hindi Vidyapeeth “Government of India, on the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, organized a national seminar and felicitation ceremony in the literary fortnight of “Hindi National Day” at the five star Radisson Blue in Delhi, in which Aligarh’s internationally renowned educationist and senior lyricist Avnish Rahi was honored with the highest honour of Vidya Vachaspati 2024 for his education, qualification and special achievement in the field of art, literature, culture, teaching and song creation. For his incomparable contribution, he was honoured with the highest honour of “Honorary Degree of Vidya Vachaspati Doctorate 2024” by presenting him with a gold medal, insignia, robes, Vidya Vachaspati certificate and convocation gown.
This honour was given during the programme by “Vice Chancellor Dr. Indu Bhushan Mishra Devendu” of Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya Hindi Vidyapeeth and “Former President of Rani Laxmi Bai Central Agricultural University Jhansi”. The Padma Shri award was jointly presented by the hands of the Vice Chancellor and Hon’ble Dr. Arvind Kumar. Along with this, the poetry collection of lyricist Avnish Rahi “Un Dinon 1992” was also released. It contains those rare compositions of Dr. Rahi which he wrote in his childhood of ten to seventeen years.

On this occasion, former Vice Chancellor Padma Shri Dr. Arvind Kumar, who was present as the chief guest, said that literature is called the mirror of society because literature lays the foundation of the progress and development of society. Litterateur Dr. Avnish Rahi is also one such name who is building new beautiful buildings of literature every day with the bricks of words and emotions.

Vice Chancellor of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Hindi Vidyapeeth Dr. Devendu, who was presiding over the program, said that lyricist Avnish Rahi is a true vigilant guard of the pen, the pain of the people is expressed in his writings. His literature rises above caste, creed, religion and creed and is humane. It emphasizes on making a man a man by touching the sentiments. Today we are proud to honour lyricist Rahi with the highest honour of “Honorary Degree of Vidya Vachaspati Doctorate 2024”.

Kozhikode: A soulful musical tribute to Indian Army Wayanad, the song “Hridhayame”, was released on 14th August 2024 by eminent musician Kaithapram Damodaran Namboothiri and District Collector Snehil Kumar Singh at a special event in Kozhikode. The song, featuring 25 renowned singers, including acclaimed artists such as Hariharan, Usha Uthup, M.G. Sreekumar, and Unnikrishnan, was a collaborative effort to support a noble cause.

The song was released as a tribute to Indian Army on 14th August and it hit 1 million+ in September 2024.

Penned by the legendary lyricist Kaithapram and composed by the talented music director Rajesh Babu K. Shooranad, “Hridayame” resonates with deep emotion and love for the serene district of Wayanad. The song was coordinated by PK Sunil Kumar, a prominent playback singer and performer, and completed in a record time of just five days.

With voices of iconic singers like Naresh Iyer, Sithara Krishnakumar, Unni Menon, and young talents including Mridula Warrier and Nitya Mammen, the song beautifully captures the essence of Wayanad. Proceeds from the sale of the song will be directed towards the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund, adding a philanthropic touch to the creative initiative.
