Karnataka’s BJP leader and former minister KS Eshwarappa, who is often in discussion about his statements, has made controversial remarks regarding Ajan. During a public meeting, he raised questions on giving Azaan through loudspeaker. BJP MLA KS Eshwarappa said what is the need to shout on mike to remember Allah? After this comment of the BJP leader and MLA, the politics has once again heated up on the issue of performing Azaan through loudspeaker.
BJP MLA KS Eshwarappa said in Mangaluru that ‘wherever I go this (Azaan) is a headache for me. There is no doubt that it will end soon as the Supreme Court verdict is yet to come. He further said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked to respect all religions. Despite this we should ask that what is the need of Ajan from loudspeaker?
Referring to Hindus, KS Eshwarappa said that Hindus also worship in temples. We have more faith than them and it is Mother India who protects the religions. But on this issue I have to question. He further said that the issue should be resolved at the earliest.
Let us tell you that this is not the first time that KS Eshwarappa, a former minister in the Karnataka government, has made such statements. Last year also he raised the issue of loudspeakers on mosques.
