Jai Dharti Maa Foundation Honors Tribal Working Women on International Women’s Day

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, celebrated on Sunday, March 8, 2026, Jai Dharti Maa Foundation organized a special honor ceremony in the tribal village of Ledo Deeh Rajganj, where 51 tribal working women were honored with sarees, traditional angavastra, and saplings as a symbol of respect, empowerment, and environmental awareness.

Addressing the gathering, the founder of the foundation, Ravi Kumar Nishad, highlighted the various initiatives being undertaken by the organization for women’s empowerment, social awareness, and rural development. He emphasized the importance of supporting women in every sphere of life and ensuring their active participation in social progress.

Co-founder Ranjit Kumar praised the contribution of women to society and described them as the foundation and strength of every family and community.

During the program, District Secretary Sahdev Mahato stated that women work tirelessly from morning till evening, managing household responsibilities while also contributing economically to their families. He described women as the true symbol of sacrifice, dedication, and strength.

Tribal Welfare Officer Sudhir Hembrom extended his greetings to the women in the tribal language and appreciated the women welfare initiatives being promoted by the government under the leadership of Hemant Soren.

President of the Santhal community, Elsa Soren, encouraged tribal families to focus on educating their children and advised the youth to make education their strongest weapon for a brighter future.

The vote of thanks was delivered by Program Officer Shamsher Ali.

Several respected women and community members attended the event, including Manju Devi, Mahanto Kumari, Sita Devi, Pramila Devi, Sarti Devi, Phoolmani Devi, Dulali Devi, Laxmi Devi, Sundari Devi, Shanti Devi, Baisakhi Devi, Mohati Devi, Champa Devi, Mudir Devi, Saghni Devi, Kalpana Devi, Sonmati Devi, Khuski Devi, Sonia Devi, Reshma Kumari, Budhni Devi, Jyoti Devi, Sangeeta Devi, Priya Devi, Basanti Devi, Namita Devi, Anu Devi, and Ghani Kumari.
