In India and Hinduism, the cow possess a sacred status. The cow in India is considered pious, deity and mother of all. It is believed that before getting life as a human being, one has to pass through the “yoni” of a cow. Lord Krishna, is often portrayed in religious texts as a cowherd “Gopala”, a child who protects cows. But today, many cows are forced to eat garbage and plastic due to inadequate food shortage, leading to the choking and sometimes even painful death of cows. As the country is moving towards digitalization and globalization, the problem of food shortage for cow is increasing day by day.
To eradicate and fight with this major concern, Jagat Janani Jeev Sewa Sansthan, a non-profitable trust in Vrandavan has set up an initiative to provide proper nutritive and green fodder to cows in “Vrindavan Parikrama Marg” thanks to donations and charity from devotees. This initiative launched by Jagat Janani Jeev Sewa Sansthan, also provide rehabilitating and nurturing fodder to feed the stray cows.
This trust of 6 peoples continue to strongly address the plastic contamination issue legally and extensively on the local level. Water haudis and feeding points for stray cows in Vrindavan along with shelters for them.
So, how can we stand by and watch these sacred and pious creatures die eating garbage?
Now they can have the opportunity for a beautiful and healthy future awaiting them to live out their lives peacefully and healthily and consuming nutritious green fodder.
We can save as many cows as your generosity will allow us to do.
