Ebha Patel launched the campaign in 2021 with the goal of opposing patriarchy and encouraging the birth of girls and celebrating their birth in India’s rural areas. It had a major impact on attitudes and actions supporting women’s rights and women Pradhan/Sarpanch. Following the start of the “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” campaign by PM Modi Ji, Ebha Patel stated that she was impressed by the initiative and felt compelled to take action to support the government’s efforts.

“Let us celebrate the birth of the girl child. We should be equally proud of our daughters. I urge you to sow five plants when your daughter is born to celebrate the occasion.” -PM Narendra Modi ji to citizens of his adopted village Jayapur, Varanasi.

In light of this, Dr S.K. Nanda, IAS retired, former home secretary to the honourable prime minister in Gujarat, founded an NGO Ghar Ayee Nanhi Pari conceptualised by Ebha Patel with the goal of honouring the birth of new baby girls in rural India, educating girls, and providing women with the tools they need to become financially independent.

 The journey started in the year 2021 by Ebha  from the Banda district of Uttar Pradesh, honouring the birth of new baby girls with the assistance of Gram Pradhans and Beti Bacho Beti Padhao Coordinators. Till now Ghar Ayee Nanhi Pari NGO has reached  28 districts in Uttar Pradesh and 2 districts in Gujarat ,felicitating more than 7000 newborn baby girls, planting trees and developing Poshan Vatikas for mothers with the medicinal plant, has triggerd a new movement . Dignitaries like Honarable Asim Arun ,Minister Social Welfare , Padma Shre Ram Saran Verma, Jilla Panchyat President Barabanki Raj Rani Rawat, MLC Awanish Kumar Singh, District magistrate Akhilesh Singh, AMD NHM Dr. Heera lal IAS,  CDO Kanpur Dehat Samuya Pandey IAS,  many more started joining the campaign and felicitating the new born baby girls in villages, causing series of celebrations in each home of every Village.More than 100 pradhans from the districts of Ambedkarnagar, Auraiya, Barabanki, Basti, Etawah, Gonda, Gorakhpur,Kanpur Dehat, Sant Kabir Nagar, Banda, Raebareli, Sitapur, Shahjahanpur,Firozabad, Varanasi, Barabanki, Basti, Baraeli, Sitapur, Mirzapur, Saharanpur of Uttar Pradesh and Sabarkantha and Mehsana of Gujarat. Nodal have associated themselves with the NGO, with help of nodal officer Sachin Chaudhary.

The governor of Uttar Pradesh, Honorable Anandiben Patel, is deeply committed to the initiative and has expressed gratitude for the participation of women Pradhan/sarpanch in the state.

Until now, we have linked more than 300 Women Pradhans from 28 Districts of Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat and Beti Bacho Beti Padhao District Coordinators have been assisting us. Women from self-help groups have also joined us from 10 Districts.Events and Gatherings We have held more than 30 events in Uttar Pradesh and Gujrat, as well as 12 get-togethers with women from self-help groups.

Awards and Accolades NGO has received the Humanitarian Excellence Awards 2022 (In the category of Most Innovative CSR Program of the Year), India Prime ICON Awards 2022 (In the category of NGO & Individual Social Work),

NGO has received a letter of appreciation from the Honorable Governor of Uttar Pradesh, Anandiben Patel mam, Central Minister Honorable Anupriya Patel and Honorable Prof. Rita Bahuguna Joshi, Member of Parliament, for it’s initiative and our coffee table book was highly appreciated by Honorable Swatantra Dev Singh, Ex BJP UP President and Cabinet minister in UP Government. The initiative was also appreciated by Ex-Chief Secretary Uttar Pradesh Alok  Ranjan IAS Retd and Ex- Chief Secretary Gujarat  G R Aloria.
