M KANNAN Born on January 3RD 1976 in Nilgris District Tamilnadu , Popularly known as Exnora Kannan was a Businessman Environmentalist, Philanthropist.He did his postgraduate in GRD College in Coimbatore.
He was connected with several organisations committed to the preservation of nature and in upliftment of Rights of the society.He was The President of NILGRIS Exnora a leading environment ngo .Having played A very vital role against the ban on Plastic in Nilgris.He also Stressed on Plastic Free Nilgris.He led several Agitations and demonstrations to bring a ban to Plastic in Nilgris District.He also sent his request to The Then Honble Chief Minister Of TamilNadu DR.Selvi J.Jayalalitha to Consider a law for preventing usage of Plastic in Nilgris .He started focussing on social issues on child and human rights.
He launched the famous movement called Vimochana a movement for protection of women and child abuse.
Having been with various organisations he decided to independently start his own Ngo called “Rights Organisation” to help people on social issues .He decided to bring together all social workers and NGOs under single umbrella to bring a strong force to help people in resolving their issues.
During the Corona outbreak he served as First Responder authorised by government authorities concerned.His main aim is to start a country wide movement awareness against sexual assault and abuse of children and to bring more stringent laws to punish the convicts severely.All his struggles and anxieties of his past seemed to compensate his achievement and reputation.
With tremendous hardwork and dedication and support of Public. He received the Environmentalist award From TamilNadu State Govt on 2012.He Also became a Member Of Child Welfare Committee ( Dept Of Social Defense Govt Of TamilNadu) For a period of 3 years with the consultation and approval of the Honble Governor Of TamilNadu.
