Chennai, India – The Tamil film industry will welcome a powerful new project this winter as Kannagi Nagar, produced by Dr. Rajeev Madhavan Menon, prepares for its grand release on December 5. The film is backed by Rajeev Menon Studios with distribution by Premaalaya Studios.
Directed by Dheena, Kannagi Nagar blends love, suspense, and psychological drama. The film tells the story of two tsunami-affected children, Kutty and Meena, who grow up together in the Kannagi Nagar community. A shocking kidnapping incident pushes Kutty into emotional turmoil, leading him on a path of revenge. Later discovering that Meena is alive in Thailand, his desperate attempt to reunite with her ends tragically, bringing the film to a powerful conclusion.
The cast includes Gautham in the lead role as Kutty, Deepa Umapathi as Meena, Muthuraj as Dharma, Bala Singh as Vaathiyaar, and Ko. Raviraj portraying a young social worker. The film features music by Thenisai Thendral Deva, cinematography by Mohammed Farhan, and editing by Marish and K. Manikandan.
