Earthquake tremors felt in Several States Including Rajasthan, Afghanistan

A strong earthquake struck the Hindu Kush region, about 258 km from Afghanistan’s capital Kabul, at 10.17 pm on Tuesday, shaking several states in north and central India, including Rajasthan. The earthquake of about 6.6 magnitude shook the entire Rajasthan. Panicked by the ground shaking, people came out and came out on the streets.

According to the Meteorological Center, the impact of the earthquake was in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan and Gujarat of India. In Rajasthan, tremors were felt in many districts including Jaipur, Alwar, Jodhpur, Sikar, Udaipur, Kota. Earthquake tremors were felt in many cities including Jaipur, Jodhpur, Ganganagar, Churu, Alwar, Bikaner, Kota, Ajmer, Pushkar, Anupgarh in Rajasthan late last night. In many districts, furniture with roof wings in people’s flats and houses in high-rise buildings also started shaking.

According to the information, people in Bhiwadi adjacent to Delhi NCR felt back-to-back tremors twice. The first shock was felt at around 10:19 pm, while the second shock was felt at 10:20 pm. After feeling the tremors for two consecutive times, people here came out of factories and buildings.
