Delhi High Court rules that Hindu widows do not have an inherent entitlement to their husband’s property

The Delhi High Court has decided that a Hindu woman can inherit her late husband’s self-acquired assets while she is alive, even if she doesn’t have her own income.

Nevertheless, the court stipulated that she cannot sell or transfer the property without full authority if there are disputes from other legal heirs, like children, based on a recent court ruling.
