Women, the central figures of the festival, play a pivotal role by carrying exquisitely adorned idols of Goddess Parvati on their heads through the bustling streets. Throughout the festivities, a myriad of rituals is meticulously observed, each laden with deep-rooted devotion and reverence. Among these customs, women partake in the creation of clay idols representing Parvati and Shiva, affectionately termed as “Gangaur Mata” and “Isar” respectively.
