Arshad Nadeem is set to be awarded Pakistan’s highest civil award and a gold crown for his impressive performance in Paris, along with a cash prize of 153 million

Arshad Nadeem’s remarkable gold medal win at the Paris Olympics 2024 in the javelin throw final has secured his place in sporting history. He set a new Olympic Games record with a throw of 92.97m, breaking the record twice during the competition. 

Nadeem’s stunning performance not only earned him the gold medal but also ended Pakistan’s 32-year individual Olympic medal drought and helped the country secure the 62nd position in the Olympics.

As a result of his incredible achievement, Arshad Nadeem is set to receive numerous rewards, gifts, and cash prizes. This includes a prize money of USD 50,000 from World Athletics for winning gold, as well as a substantial prize of PKR 150 million from the Pakistani government. 

Additionally, various officials and organisations are offering cash prizes, with amounts ranging from PKR 1 million to PKR 100 million. Nadeem is also in line to receive prestigious awards such as the Hilal-i-Imtiaz and valuable gifts like a new car and a solar energy system. Furthermore, new sports facilities and institutions will be named after him to honour his remarkable achievement.
