The 12th Union Bank of India Thane Half Marathon 2026 witnessed massive participation and high-octane performances as more than 12,000 runners took over the streets of Thane on Sunday morning, making it one of the city’s largest fitness events.

The marathon was flagged off at TMC Ground, Hiranandani Estate, by renowned fitness icon Milind Soman along with Mr. Asheesh Pandey, Managing Director & CEO, Union Bank of India. Both dignitaries participated in the event, further motivating runners — Milind Soman completed the 10 km run, while Mr. Pandey finished the 4 km Fun Run.

The 21 km Half Marathon saw strong competition among elite runners. Daji Hubale secured first place in the men’s category with an impressive timing of 01:07:34, followed by Vishal Kambire at 01:11:34 and Suraj Zore at 01:12:25.

In the women’s half marathon, Amrita Patel clinched the top position with a timing of 01:23:27. Prajakta Godbole finished second at 01:31:12, while Manisha Joshi secured third place with 01:40:03.

Apart from the half marathon, the event featured a 10 km Challenge and a 4 km Fun Run, attracting participants from various age groups and backgrounds. Comprehensive medical arrangements, hydration points, ambulances, and trained volunteers ensured a safe and well-managed race.

The event reinforced Union Bank of India’s commitment to promoting health, wellness, and community fitness, while strengthening Thane’s growing reputation as a major destination for marathon events.
