Two soldiers killed in encounter with militants in Rajouri

An encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district on Friday, police said. It is being told that firing is being done from both sides. In a statement, the Army said that two soldiers were also killed during the encounter, while four others, including an officer, were injured.

According to the information, the terrorists are also said to be killed in the encounter. The injured soldiers have been taken to command hospital Udhampur. Also, keeping in mind the security, internet services have been closed in the area for the time being.

According to a report in Amar Ujala, a joint team of police, Army and CRPF launched a search operation on information about the presence of militants in the area. Meanwhile, as soon as the teams reached the suspected place, the terrorists hiding there started firing on them, retaliating and the encounter started.

It is being told that the terrorists fired an explosive device, due to which two army personnel were killed and four including an officer were injured. Additional teams from nearby areas have been rushed to the encounter site. According to reports, a group of terrorists is surrounded in the area. The encounter continues.
