2 SITs have been constituted to investigate the murder of gangsters Atiq Ahmed and Ashraf. The first one is done by DGP RK Vishwakarma and the second one is done by SIT Prayagraj Commissioner Ramit Sharma. Earlier, on Sunday, the government constituted a judicial commission. That is, now this murder case will be investigated at 3 levels.
On the other hand, the Prayagraj police will present the three killers of Atiq-Ashraf in the court on Monday. Police can demand their remand. At the same time, the case of Atiq-Ashraf’s murder has reached the Supreme Court. According to the Livelaw site, Advocate Vishal Tiwari has filed the PIL in this matter. In this, a demand has been made to investigate the murder case under the supervision of a retired judge of the Supreme Court. Along with this, an appeal has also been made to investigate 183 encounters that have happened in UP since 2017.
Let us tell you that Atiq and Ashraf were shot dead on Saturday. According to the post mortem report, Atiq had 9 bullets and Ashraf had 5 bullets. The shootout took place when he was being taken for medical examination.
