Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), one of the country’s largest state-owned oil companies, has announced the payment of dividend to its investors. The company said in the stock filing that an interim dividend of Rs 4 per share will be given for the financial year 2023. However, the company is yet to seek the approval of its shareholders. BPCL said that it will take approval from the shareholders in the Annual General Meeting of the company to be held on August 28. After the approval of the shareholders, the company will distribute the dividend within 30 days.

When is the record date?

Along with the announcement of dividend, the company has also announced the record date. BPCL said that August 11, 2023 is the record date. Let us tell you that the record date is the day on which the company identifies who is the eligible shareholder for the dividend.

The company has distributed dividends among the shareholders 38 times since June 18, 2001. At the same time, in the last one year, the company has also distributed a dividend of Rs 6 per share and the dividend yield of the company is 1.59 percent.
