Satyendar Jain, a minister in the Delhi government and leader of the Aam Aadmi Party, has received a major setback from the Delhi court. The court has rejected his bail plea in the money laundering case. On Thursday, the Rouse Avenue Court rejected the bail pleas of Jain and two others in a money laundering case. Vaibhav and Ankush Jain are also accused along with them. The bail plea of both of them has also been rejected. The court has given its verdict in this matter today. The court has refused to grant him bail.

Jain was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on May 30 under sections of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act. Due to not getting bail, the difficulties of Satyendar Jain are increasing. Satyendar Jain is currently lodged in Tihar Jail and has been kept in judicial custody. The court pronounced its verdict at 2 pm on Thursday. Earlier, the court had postponed the decision. Since morning there was discussion about whether he would get bail or not. Earlier, the court had postponed the decision due to the non-preparation of the order. The court had reserved the verdict.

At the same time, in this whole matter, Minister Satyendar Jain said that he has been arrested because of becoming a minister. He hasn’t done anything wrong. Jain had cited his health reasons for bail but the court did not agree. He also told the court that the investigating agencies (CBI and ED) do not have any concrete evidence against him. That’s why they should not be kept in custody. But all his arguments were rejected.
