From Villages to Villas: Samyog Living Makes Handcrafted Indian Furniture Accessible and Ethical

Samyog Living is redefining how Indian consumers engage with buying handcrafted solid wood furniture for home—by making traditional artistry accessible and affordable. While most online furniture brands follow global trends, Samyog Living celebrates India’s cultural richness through timeless designs rooted in heritage and crafted with conscience.

A Purpose-Driven Beginning

The brand was founded by Yogesh Rajpurohit, whose passion for Indian craft led him to question why globally exported, handmade furniture pieces labeled “Made in India” were so hard to find within India itself. A trip abroad sparked the idea: to bridge this gap by creating handcrafted products locally accessible for consumers—and making them available to Indian homes at fair prices.

Unable to convince existing exporters to serve the domestic market, Yogesh established his own manufacturing unit, setting the foundation for Samyog Living in 2024.

Tradition Meets Today’s Homes

Operating from Jodhpur, Rajasthan—an artisanal hub—the brand offers furniture and décor items made from wood, metal, terracotta, cane, glass, and innovative materials like Genuine Leather. Each piece is thoughtfully designed to blend cultural aesthetics with modern-day functionality.

“We’re not just building furniture—we’re preserving heritage,” says Yogesh. “Every design is a tribute to India’s forgotten crafts, reimagined for the homes of today.”

New Sustainable Line for Restaurants & Cafés

Samyog Living recently expanded into commercial spaces with a new line of eco-friendly furniture for restaurants and cafés. Designed for functionality and ambience, these pieces are crafted using responsibly sourced wood, low-emission finishes, and recycled materials—reflecting the brand’s continued focus on sustainability.

“Our artisans bring more than skill—they bring soul to every space,” Yogesh shares.

Affordable Luxury, Crafted Responsibly

Despite the high-end craftsmanship, Samyog Living remains committed to affordability. By working directly with artisans and controlling the production process in-house, the brand keeps prices competitive without compromising on quality.

From modest beginnings with ₹5 lakhs in early quarterly sales, Samyog now ships over 700 pieces monthly and clocks revenues over ₹1 crore per month. Its footprint is growing not just across India but also internationally—in markets like the US, UK, Europe, and Canada.

Behind Every Piece: A Community of Artisans

One of the brand’s biggest challenges early on was reviving interest among artisans who had left traditional crafts due to low pay and dwindling demand. Yogesh personally sought out families with generational skills and offered them more than just employment—housing, education, healthcare, and dignity.

Today, over 90 people, including 60 artisans, form the heart of Samyog Living. “Our artisans aren’t just employees—they’re the essence of everything we do,” says Yogesh.

Designed for Real Living

Whether it’s a carved corner table with hidden storage or a wall shelf that doubles as art, Samyog’s products are both functional and beautiful. Every item undergoes strict quality checks, ensuring the finest craftsmanship and attention to detail before it reaches a customer’s home.

Looking Forward

Still bootstrapped and proudly independent, Samyog Living has plans to expand its furniture lines with more solid wood offerings, and even step into natural, eco-friendly fashion using organic materials like cotton and plant-based silk.

Even as growth accelerates, the brand remains focused on digital-first retail, aiming to become the top online destination for sustainable, heritage-inspired design.

More Than Just Furniture

At its core, Samyog Living is more than a home furniture brand. It is a movement—toward conscious living, cultural preservation, and ethical production. In every handcrafted piece lies a story of revival, resilience, and responsible design—bringing India’s artistic soul from its villages to villas around the world.
