Speaking at the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha in Panipat on Tuesday, general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale supported the central government’s view on same-sex marriage. Dattatreya Hosabale said that marriage can only be between those of opposite sex, so the Sangh agrees with the government’s stand on this matter.

Dattatreya Hosabale spoke to reporters on Tuesday, the last day of the three-day meeting of the Sabha that began on March 12. The Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha is the largest and most important unit of the RSS. It is called the think tank of the Union. All the important decisions and strategies related to RSS are made in this. BJP president JP Nadda was present on all three days in this meeting of the meeting held in Panipat.

In the press conference, General Secretary Hosabale also spoke on congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s speech in London. “There is no need to comment on it as Rahul Gandhi has his own political agenda. Everyone knows the truth about RSS. Yet, as a big leader of the country’s main opposition party, Rahul Gandhi should speak more responsibly. ‘

On the question related to marriage in Sem Sex, Hosabale said, “Marriage is a ritual in Indian culture. It is not a contract or a pleasure for two individuals. ‘

Hosabale said, “I also went to jail during the Emergency. Apart from me, many people of the country were put in jail. After Indira, Rajiv, Sonia, now Rahul Gandhi is also making controversial remarks about the Sangh. They are saying that democracy is in danger. Now the election is near. Had democracy been in danger, we would not have been able to gather. Congress has no moral basis to speak about democracy. The Congress has not apologized to the country even for the Emergency till date. ‘
