Three killed in firing in Rajasthan’s Bharatpur

Three brothers, including a policeman, were gunned down in Rajasthan’s Bharatpur last night. After a fight with the policeman’s son, the accused, who lives in the neighbourhood, along with his accomplices attacked his family. Two women and a man were also badly injured in the attack. The firing was so fierce that the sound of bullets spread panic in the area and stirred the entire village.

The police reached the spot on information and admitted the injured to the district hospital in Bharatpur. In view of the tension in the village, a large number of police forces have been deployed.

The incident took place in Bharatpur’s Kumher police station area. According to the police, due to mutual enmity in Sakraura village of the area, the accused youth Lakhan, along with 10 to 11 of his associates, opened fire on Gajendra’s family living in the neighborhood.

Three brothers Samandar, Gajendra and Ishwar were killed in the firing. While Gajendra’s wife Maya, Gajendra’s son Tenpal and Tenpal’s wife Raveena were badly injured. The deceased Gajendra was a constable in RAC Alwar. At the same time, God and Samandar used to cultivate in the village itself.

It is being told that Sikaraura village is just 20 km away from Bharatpur district headquarters. Tenpal, son of constable Gajendra, who lives in the village, had a fight with Lakhan, who lives in front of his house, on November 24.

The quarrel between the two was reconciled by the village sarpanches, but Lakhan kept a grudge even after reconciliation and called more than 10 of his colleagues to the village late on Friday night. The accused, who came in two cars, reached outside Gajendra’s house with weapons and started abusing him. This was followed by an aerial fire.

When Gajendra Singh came out after hearing the sound of firing, the miscreants shot him. Gajendra’s two brothers Ishwar and Samandar have houses near the house. When they also came out of the sound of firing, they also opened fire on them. All three died.

After this, Tenpal, who came out of the house, was also shot, some miscreants entered the house and also opened fire on Tenpal’s wife and mother. All the accused fled from the spot after the incident.

The women and youth injured in the attack have been sent to RBM Hospital Bharatpur. Police are investigating the case.
