The Udaipur police team that went to nab the history-sheeter and his accused son was surrounded and beaten up by miscreants. Also fired on the policemen. Seven policemen including SI were injured in this attack. The miscreants also attacked the police personnel with knives. Snatched the pistol and other weapons of the jawans. The incident took place on Thursday evening in Mandwa Kotra, a tribal area 100 km from Udaipur.

In this attack, the condition of Police Station Officer Uttam Singh Medatiya and Constable Manoj is said to be serious. ASI Surajmal Meena, constables Muralidhar, Sohanlal, Prabhulal, Devendra and Mahendra Kumar also sustained injuries in the attack. All of them are being treated at MB Hospital in Udaipur.

According to Udaipur IG Ajaypal Lamba, the accused named Rania is a wanted history-sheeter of Mandwa police station. His son Khajru is also a wanted accused. The police team had gone to nab both of them. As soon as the police reached near the house of the miscreants, 30-35 people ambushed there attacked the police personnel.

To drive away the police personnel, they were first pelted with stones and then fired. The miscreants laid siege and beat up the police team badly. The IG says that strict action will be taken against those who attacked the police.
