Central government will bear the credit guarantee fee

According to news agency PTI, a concessional interest rate of 5 percent will be charged from the beneficiary along with the interest rebate limit of 8 percent given by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.  The credit guarantee fee will be borne by the Central Government.  The scheme also includes benefits like recognition as Vishwakarma through a certificate and ID card and skill verification after 5-7 days of basic training.  Interested candidates can also enroll for 15 days advanced training and will be given a stipend of Rs 500 per day.

You will get benefits on digital transactions

Additionally, a grant of Rs 15,000 as toolkit incentive and an incentive of Rs 1 per transaction up to 100 transactions monthly will be provided for digital transactions.  The National Committee on Marketing (NCM) will provide services such as quality certification, branding and publicity, e-commerce linkage, trade fair advertising, promotion and other marketing activities.

The age of the beneficiary should be 18 years

An artisan or craftsman working with hands and tools and engaged on a self-employment basis in the unorganized sector in one of the 18 family-based traditional occupations mentioned in the scheme will be eligible for registration under PM Vishwakarma.  To enroll in this, the minimum age of the beneficiary should be 18 years.
