The term of the current BJP government in Karnataka ends on May 24. This time the fight will be between BJP, Congress and JDS. Last time JDS-Congress was together, but this time JDS will contest separately.
At the same time, the Election Commission has also announced by-elections to 5 assembly seats in 4 states. Election to Wayanad seat, which fell vacant after Rahul Gandhi’s cancellation of his Parliament membership, has not been announced. When asked about this, Rajiv Kumar said that there is a time of 6 months to conduct elections on vacant seats. The trial court has given Rahul Gandhi 30 days to file an appeal in the higher court.
