The Uttarakhand government will provide assistance of Rs 1.5 lakh to the residents of 723 houses in Joshimath, Uttarakhand. Also, Rs 50,000 will be given for shifting and Rs 1 lakh as advance compensation. What will be the final compensation, it will be decided later. The survey will be completed in a week and after that this help will be given.

Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami’s office said that in compliance with the instructions given by the CM, an amount of Rs 1.5 lakh is being given as interim assistance to the affected families immediately. Local people who have been affected by the landslide will be compensated at the market rate.

In Joshimath, Uttarakhand CM PS Dhami has said that providing relief to the affected families and rehabilitating them is our priority. Such an atmosphere is being created that the whole of Uttarakhand is in danger, this is not right. We are ensuring that there is a balance between ecology and economy. “We will re-evaluate the holding capacity of all the cities in the state. If there is more construction than required at any place, we will stop it. PM Modi and his office are constantly taking updates on the issue of land collapse. The CM will be in Joshimath tonight.

Here, BJP national president JP Nadda has talked to Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami over the phone. He has enquired about the situation in Joshimath. Along with this, information has also been taken about the relief rescue work of the government and the work being done for the victims.

A statement issued from CM Pushkar Dhami’s office said that “Our government is taking full care of the interests of the local people. Local people who have been affected by the landslide will be compensated at the market rate. The market rate will be decided after taking suggestions from stakeholders and in public interest. “
