India’s general budget presented, big relief to the middle class, big budget allocation for railways

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Budget for the financial year 2023-24. Women, youth and senior citizens have been taken care of in this budget. This time the change in tax slab has been announced in the budget after nine years. The Finance Minister announced that now there will be no tax on annual income up to Rs 7 lakh. Which is expected to provide relief to the middle class.

In this year’s General Budget, the railways have received the largest budget allocation so far. The railway budget allocation has been increased almost 9 times to Rs 2 lakh 40 thousand crore. Apart from the middle class, announcements have also been made for farmers, youth, railways and women. Understand the budget from these points

Relief will be given to small and medium industries affected by Corona.

A voluntary resolution plan will be brought in to settle disputes.

PMPBTG Development Mission will be launched to improve the socio-economic status of backward tribal groups.

The budget given in the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme has been increased by 66% to Rs 79000 crore.

More than 3 crore houses have been given to the poor under the PM Awas Yojana. It will benefit more than 15 crore homeless people.

So far, Rs 5.1 lakh crore has been budgeted under this scheme, out of which Rs 3.1 lakh crore has been released.

In the next three years, 38,800 teachers and support staff will be appointed in Eklavya schools.

National Digital Library will be set up in the country.

Institutes of excellence will be opened for training of teachers.

PmPBTG Development Mission will be launched to improve the socio-economic condition of tribal groups so that PBTG habitations can be equipped with basic amenities.

Rs 15,000 crore will be made available for implementation of the scheme in the next 3 years.

An ‘Agriculture Enhancing Fund’ will be set up for agricultural start-ups in rural areas.

The ‘Atma Nirbhar Swachh Paudh Programme’ will be launched with Rs 2,200 crore.

An investment of Rs 6,000 crore will be made in the new sub-plan related to fisheries estate.

The target of agricultural credit will be increased to Rs 20 lakh crore.

Senior citizens can now deposit up to Rs 30 lakh instead of Rs 15 lakh.

In the monthly income scheme, an account holder can deposit up to Rs 9 lakh instead of four and a half.

Mahila Samman Bachat Patra Scheme will be started. In this, women will get 7.5% interest on savings of Rs 2 lakh.

‘PM PRANAM’ scheme will be launched to promote alternative fertilizers in the country.

500 new plants will be set up under Gobar Dhan Yojana.

An investment of Rs 2.4 lakh crore will be made to transform the railways.

Rs 75,000 crore will be spent on transport infrastructure.

50 new airports and helipads will be built and ₹10,000 crore will be spent annually on urban development.

Those earning up to Rs 7 lakh annually will not have to pay any tax.

A person with an annual income of Rs 9 lakh will have to pay only Rs 45,000 tax.
